Lots has been happening over the last couple of weeks.

My booth #30 at Emiline's Antiques and Collectibles has been doing well.  I fill it weekly with new finds, collage materials and my latest edition are charm sets in themes of beach, sea life, sea shells, time and even some early snow flakes.  I have laces and ribbons flowing vintage materials, post cards and other ephemera.

At the same time I will begin teaching here locally as of August 27th and 29th at the Palmetto Art Center!   www.palmettoartcenter.com  We will start off with an introduction of inks and stamps by making some collage beach cards. Stay tuned for the PAC class schedule on Monday.

HOPE to see you in August at one location or another.  Happy creativity!

Classes Saturday at Scraps of Art

Well we had two small groups in the ornament classes Saturday but we had great fun.  I had the pleasure of having lunch with Patty and Debbie.  The ornaments turned out fantastic and we all learned a new trick or two.

Next month's classes will be the Background class from June that was rescheduled and a Pearl Ex how to class. Looking forward in seeing you then. :D

Happy Birthday to me!

Today is my birthday. My husband and sons are making me dinner.  They have a very delictable menu prepared. They even remembered the cake! What awesome guys I have.

Today was my day to do as I please so I went to Emiline's Antique and Collectibles (Palmetto, Fl.) and made some additions to my booth (#30) and did some rearranging.  It has come a long way. I am still on the hunt for a rug for the floor.

Emiline's Antique and Collectible Dealer 30

I worked at Emiline's yesterday. My hubby helped me secure my locked case to the wall.  My rigging wasn't very good. It is amazing what you can do with a couple of screws , a drill and some brute force. :D

I have sold quite a few things. Very exciting to watch your own stuff be purchased and help wrap to watch it go out the door.  One little girl bought some dog and teddy bear figurines.  I had forgot to reprice those as they were worth more than I had priced them for. Her smile when I wrapped them for her was worth it though.

My booth still needs some big stuff, a carpet , more shelves but I am coming along. I had found a few large things before I left for Tn but while I was gone they sold. A good problem to have I suppose :D
 Here are some pictures.

Come by and see us sometime.

A Great Week

I had a great week last week with my RAs (boys) and GAs (girls) in Tn.  6 leaders took 9 kids to Townsend Tn to do a service oriented Mission trip to put all they have learned about missions into actions.  They also were able to meet people they have helped support.  It was an eventful trip and they were a blessing to us all.  The ages were 8 to 15 and we did not have the first melt down.

Linda, they said "we will take you up on the smores and campfire next time!"

Now I am back home and today is full of laundry and house cleaning so that the rest of the week I can focus on my upcoming classes, art for my booth and organizing that art room of mine.

Hope to see you next week at Scraps of Art.  June's class, backgrounds flip book is next Wednesday.  July's classes for Christmas in July, are the first week in July.  go to scrapsofart.com for more details.  Scroll down my blog for pictures of the upcoming classes.
